I enjoy providing a kind, accepting, and non-judgemental space where you can relax and feel comfortable exploring your thoughts and feelings.
My past experiences help me to appreciate you for who you are, and I would consider it a sincere privilege to have the opportunity to work with you. I lived in Europe and the Middle East for various parts of my life before calling Canada home for the last two decades. Having lived in diverse environments helped me develop a great appreciation for various cultures and sensitivity to the specialness of every person I meet. As a result, apart from my formal education and extensive clinical training, I bring a well-rounded set of real-life experiences that I believe will benefit you.
I enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds, regardless of gender, age, culture, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender expression.
I use an integrative approach that I tailor based on your unique needs and goals. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

Registered Nurse Psychotherapist
I believe that the road to finding happiness and freedom begins with a simple principle, understanding that some things are within our control and some things are not. Whether you are controlled by anxiety, dreading the “what ifs” of the future. Or you are stuck in the past and find it difficult to move on, I believe I can help. I am dedicated to building a therapeutic alliance with my clients and working on an individual basis to help each, and every person realize their strengths to find their own solutions.
I provide psychological services to individuals 18 and over who are experiencing a range of difficulties, including: anxiety, depression, grief, addictions, anger management, self-esteem, trauma, relationship issues, and stress.
During my tenure as a registered nurse, I have worked with people who suffer from addictions, trauma, major mental illness, depression, and anxiety. I have years of practice utilizing CBT techniques, psychodynamic techniques, and person-centred modalities. In a situation where emotions have overtaken rationale, I strive to reorient people by validating how they feel, helping them find options, and giving them the opportunity to make choices.
My nursing experience has led me to become interested in becoming a psychotherapist with an emphasis on psychological interventions which promote social contributions, connectedness, lifestyle, and directionality. I work with people to understand the biological, psychological, and sociological factors which create problems in their lives and keep them going. I have over 8 years of experience working in acute psychiatry, community mental health, developmental disability support, assertive treatment, crisis teams, forensic and correctional psychiatry. I have also worked as a clinical instructor in mental health nursing for the “registered practical nurse” program at St. Lawrence College. I am a registered nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) in nursing at Laurentian University in Sudbury Ontario. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology program at Yorkville University in New Brunswick, with plans to graduate in December of 2023.
When I work with you, I will emphasize the importance of the therapeutic alliance and I will teach you to utilize emotional regulation strategies, mindfulness strategies, cognitive behavioral principles, and psychodynamic methods. I will be dedicated to working with you on an individual basis to help you recognize destructive patterns, realize your strengths, and find the courage to keep trying in the face of adversity.

I am a wife, a mother, a sister, and a stepmother who acknowledges the beauty but also the challenges of creating a blended family. I have 15 + years' experience in Human Resources. For seven years, I worked in a top security government agency: this experience provided me with first-hand knowledge of the stressors linked to high-profile job environments and their often overwhelming demands.
Together, we will create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can feel relaxed and comfortable.I pride myself in helping those around me find their purpose, true meaning, peace, internal wellness, strive for acceptance, and forward progression. Together, let’s change your future.
When you are ready, I am looking forward to supporting and working with you.

Before coming to you as a therapist, I held a different position as a frontline worker. I met amazing people who have experienced various complex challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, chronic and terminal illness. I have seen firsthand the profound impact of these experiences on one's life, and I am committed to helping my clients navigate these challenges and find greater peace and fulfillment.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered, which means I prioritize your unique needs, goals, and experiences. You are the expert on your life; my role is to support and aid you on your journey toward healing. I also utilize evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic therapy to help my clients' overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
In addition, I take an existential approach to therapy, which means I explore the more significant questions about life, meaning, and purpose. By examining these deeper issues, we can gain greater insight into ourselves and our experiences and ultimately live more authentic and fulfilling lives.
Above all, I am here to support you in finding your authentic self where you can reach peace and healing. If you are new to therapy, it may be difficult, uncomfortable, or awkward to share your feelings and thoughts and experience with someone new. I assure you that together, we will work to overcome your challenges and achieve your goals, one step at a time.
