Intisar Fadulelseed

Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Hi, I'm Intisar.

I have often been told that I bring a calm, genuine, and grounded presence to my work, and creating a space where people feel truly seen, respected, and safe to open up is at the heart of everything I do.

Before transitioning into psychotherapy, I spent over a decade practicing as a Family Physician after completing my medical degree from my home country. That chapter of my life gave me something I carry into every session a deep, firsthand understanding of how closely physical health, emotional well-being, and life circumstances are woven together. It's a perspective that continues to shape how I see and support the people I work with.

As a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I work with adults, older adults, and families navigating all kinds of challenges anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, low self-esteem, parenting stress, major life transitions, cultural adjustment, and more. Supporting refugees and immigrants holds a particular place in my heart. I understand intimately what it means to leave everything familiar behind and try to rebuild a sense of self and belonging in a new country, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside people through that journey.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and always tailored to the person in front of me. I draw on a range of evidence-based methods including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based approaches, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centred Therapy, and I bring a trauma-informed and culturally responsive lens to all of my work.

I genuinely believe that every person already holds within them the capacity to heal and grow. My role is simply to help you find your way back to that.
