Maha Jawed
Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)
At Renew Psychotherapy, my work focuses on supporting adults through the emotional impact of a motor vehicle accident. I see clients living with trauma, anxiety, low mood, chronic pain, and the strain of trying to return to ordinary routines after an accident has disrupted them.
My approach is collaborative and trauma-informed. I take time to understand what each person is carrying, work at their pace rather than to a fixed protocol, and build treatment around their own goals and strengths. Many of the people I see are managing pain, insurance processes, and changed roles at home and at work all at once, and I aim to make sessions a place where that whole picture can be set down and worked through.
Before moving into psychotherapy I spent several years in early childhood education, working closely with children and families from diverse and multilingual backgrounds. That experience shapes how I listen, and how plainly I try to explain things.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) from Yorkville University and am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I am also a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
