Nelda Saadat

Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Welcome! I’m Nelda, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a background in medicine and over 13 years of experience working as a family physician before transitioning to psychotherapy. My combined experience in medicine and mental health has shaped a holistic understanding of how emotional, relational, and physical well-being can intersect.

My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and person-centred. I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Schema Therapy, somatic approaches, and solution-focused techniques. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor therapy to each person’s needs, experiences, strengths, and goals.

I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD-related challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress. I also support individuals who want to better understand recurring patterns in their relationships, strengthen boundaries and communication, and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship can provide a safe and supportive space for meaningful change. My goal is to help clients develop greater self-understanding and self-compassion while building practical skills that can translate into everyday life.

Outside of my professional work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling, painting, swimming, hiking, and being outdoors.

I look forward to supporting you as you work toward greater well-being, meaningful relationships, and a life that feels more aligned with who you are.
